started as a graphic design freelancer

I started working on freelance platforms such as Fiverr and Upwork, offering my services as a graphic designer. I create logos including full branding packages and, upon request, additional print materials or specific client requests.

In addition, I sell digital templates on Etsy that can be customized and downloaded. Another project I launched on Etsy is a print-on-demand shop. In this shop, products such as T-shirts, hoodies, posters, mugs, and more are printed with my designs and shipped directly to customers after they place an order.

Furthermore, I previously ran my own Shopify store where I sold so-called “ice towels” which were perfect for summer. For this project, I designed the logo, customized the shopify store, handled marketing, and took care of packaging and shipping.

started as a social media manager for Lecker-macht-süchtig

I am responsible for managing email communications related to brand collaborations for Lecker-macht-süchtig. My tasks include planning and preparing collaborations: sorting inquiries, confirming or declining requests, creating the media kit, and gathering relevant insights.I also review campaign briefings, negotiate compensation, and oversee the contract process.

Once the formalities are settled, I develop creative ideas that align with the brand and ensure the content is created according to the briefing. After content creation, I handle potential feedback rounds and make necessary adjustments.

Then, I prepare the content for publishing, which goes live on the agreed-upon date. After a post goes live, the work continues: typically 1–2 weeks later, I collect all key performance indicators (KPIs) related to the content and share them with the brand.

In addition to Instagram, I also manage other platforms like TikTok and Pinterest, ensuring that content is posted simultaneously across all channels.

Previous collaboration partners have included Dr. Oetker, Kenwood, Nutella, Tchibo, Mein Glück, Verpoorten, Reber, QVC, and many more.

release of the first baking book from Lecker-macht-süchtig

From the initial idea during the COVID lockdown to the final product, it was a major challenge. Together with my mother the face behind Lecker-macht-süchtig we created everything ourselves. I was responsible for the design, layout, photo editing, marketing, customer communication, as well as packaging and shipping of the books. My mother contributed the ideas, recipes, and texts and of course, her reach, which was essential to actually sell a product like this.

First, we decided on the theme of the baking book and selected suitable recipes. Based on that, we developed a layout where we could insert all the recipes and images. This layout evolved over time until we finalized the design. Next, we photographed all the recipes, edited the images, and wrote out the ingredient lists and preparation steps.

The theme of the book is the four seasons, it’s designed to accompany readers throughout the entire year, offering suitable recipes for every season. Once all recipes were completed, we added helpful tips, a recipe overview, an ingredient index, and shopping lists. This makes it easy to see at a glance what ingredients are needed for each season.

The book includes 60 recipes, 144 pages, and features a hardcover with thread binding and a ribbon bookmark. It is sold through our own online shop as well as on Amazon. I handle all orders from our online shop personally: I pack the books, print and attach the shipping labels, and take them to the post office. I also respond to customer inquiries.

For certain holidays like Christmas, Easter, or Mother’s Day, we offer special promotions such as free shipping or extra items like gift tags and bonus recipes.

One year after the initial release, we also made the baking book available as an eBook.

created digital products for Lecker-macht-süchtig

To generate additional revenue, I started creating digital products for Lecker-macht-süchtig. The focus was on offering simple, user-friendly items that customers can download and print or alternatively, download to their preferred tablet for digital use.

I specialized in organizational tools, including daily planners, weekly planners, calendars, and meal planners. All of these products follow a consistent, clean, and modern design. They are purely typographic, placing emphasis on what really matters: simple and effective planning.

The original idea was to offer only these four planners, but the product line quickly expanded. Additional planners were introduced, such as: income tracker, expense tracker, habit tracker, invoice tracker, life goals planner, and three types of note pages.

Each year, the planners are updated and adapted to the current calendar year. The established design language is consistently maintained, ensuring that new additions fit seamlessly into the existing collection.

March 2024

Since the blog’s launch in 2015, the design hadn’t been updated once so it was time for a fresh, modern redesign.

As the blog is built on WordPress, I first had to familiarize myself with the platform. I used Elementor as the foundation and completely redesigned a purchased theme from scratch.

It was important to me that visitors could instantly find what they might be looking for right on the homepage. The heroimage showcases current recipe ideas based on the season or upcoming holidays, tying in perfectly with the theme of our baking book. Below that are category sections that lead users directly to curated recipe overviews. This is followed by a call-to-action promoting the baking book and planners, a section featuring the most popular seasonal recipes, the About Me page, and the story behind our baking book. Then comes a newsletter banner and, at the bottom, the latest blog recipes.

As part of the redesign, I also photographed and edited new main images for each recipe category to create a cohesive and visually appealing look.

The online shop was made more user-friendly to simplify the checkout experience for customers.

I’m also responsible for managing the newsletter, which is sent out whenever a new recipe is published on the blog, during holiday promotions, and for various special announcements.

planing a concept for another baking book

For the new baking book, which focuses specifically on yeast dough recipes, there are still several tasks to complete. We are currently working on the concept, selecting suitable recipes, and gathering ideas for the layout and design. The next steps will include photographing the recipes and editing the images.

We are also considering whether this baking book should be offered exclusively as an eBook.

Started to redesign my portfolio

For the redesign of my portfolio, I first had to determine where and how I wanted to build it. I chose Webflow because it offers a high level of creative freedom and flexibility, allowing for completely custom designs without limitations.

To bring my ideas to life, I first had to learn how to use Webflow effectively. Once I had the necessary skills, I created several case studies to showcase the range of my design abilities. This led to the development of the brands Planty, Seren, Bakd, and Aroma. These projects highlight different design approaches from packaging design to out-of-home advertising each executed in its own unique brand identity.

The case studies were integrated into the website and presented using various mockups. I also added an About Me page, a contact page, and a link to my photography website, where I showcase my work as a photographer.
